The Chair!

Caeson went to the doctors office with Grandma & Grandpa Perry in Globe. While they were at the doctors office, Caeson saw a chair that he liked. Over the last month, every time Caeson would go to Globe or to the mountains with Grandpa & Grandma Perry, they would work on Caeson's chair. Last week Grandpa brought the chair home and the put the base coat of paint on Caeson's chair. Now we are going to attempt to paint a Mickey Mouse on it. We will see how that goes. He really likes his chair. He keeps it next to his bed.

Antelope Hunting in New Mexico

On Saturday, September 13th, Ryan went antelope hunting in New Mexico. He killed a 14 inch buck the first day about noon. He went with his great hunting guide, his Dad. However, Ryan was the one who spotted it from 500 yards away. He was excited. He shot his antelope with a 300 win mag. He made a "perfect shot" in the back leg.

First Day of School

This post is a little late, but...... This picture was taken on the first day of school, August 13 2008. Here is a picture of them all waiting for the bus. Ryan was already gone. He has to be at school at 6:45 for band practice. Maddux was so sad when he couldn't ride the bus to school with everyone else. Clayton and Charity (our neighbor kids) were outside waiting for the bus too. Tevin goes to Thatcher Elementary School and Parker goes to Thatcher Primary school. Caeson goes to Brighter Day Kindergarten Transitional School. And Ryan goes to Thatcher High School.

Another One!

Caeson is the scoring machine. Every game he makes several goals. I just so happened to get a picture of Caeson scoring a goal at this game.

Goal!!

Tevin is loving this time of year. It is soccer season. Tevin is a great asset to his team. He can place the soccer ball just about anywhere that he wants. Every game this season he has made several points for his team. Tevin is in 6th grade this year. He is studying hard. He is also playing the drums in the band. Tevin has developed an interest in hunting this last year, however he didn't get drawn for any hunts this fall. Tevin enjoys shooting his bow, his air soft gun, and his dad's guns (when his dad lets him). He also enjoys working with his Grandpa Perry. Tevin is a very hard worker and dependable.

Ryan "The Ripsticker"

This is Ryan. He is Fourteen. He started high school this year. We can't hardly believe it. He will be going on his mission before we know it. Ryan
was really excited about going to high school. He is taking all of the main classes that he has to take. He is also taking seminary, woods, and marching band. Ryan has played the trombone that last four years in school. However, he decided he was going to play the bass drum this year. So that is what he is doing. Ryan is very musically talented. He plays several different instruments. Trombone, drums, piano, and electric guitar. Ryan is praticing up on his basketball skills. He really wants to make the THS Freshman basketball team. He is still trying to decide if he wants to play baseball or golf in the spring. Ryan is currently working on his Eagle project for scouts. He is hoping to have it done in a month. Ryan is a good boy and very dependable. This picture to the left is Ryan riding the ripstick down the middle of the raod in Greer, Arizona. He and Tevin bought the ripstick in California and the both have fun riding it. Oh, by the way, Ryan is 5 feet 8 inches tall. He is 4 inches taller than his mom. He is really working on being taller than his dad.

Parker

This is Parker. He turned 7 on June 22, 2008. He is cute and has a fun personality. Parker is very out going and has the cutest smile. We don't have very many pictures of Parker when he is just looking at the camera and smiling. He always has to be doing something silly. (The picture to the left is not a normal picture for Parker. Notice in the pictures to come that Parker always has to be doing something silly.) He likes to play with his his brothers and his friends. Parker really enjoys playing sports. However, I think he likes to go more for the socialization part of it. Parker got a guitar for his birthday. He seems to always have it in his arms. Hopefully soon, he will be able to play a song.

Caeson's Fifth Birthday

On August 5th, was Caeson's "golden" birthday. He wasn't sure what a golden birthday was. We had to tell him that a "golden" birthday is; when you turn the age that is the same date that your birthday is on. Like he was Five on the Fifth of August. Anyway, Caeson is not very big on desserts. He did not want a cake for his birthday. He wanted chocolate cookies with peanut butter chips. Caeson is affectionate. He is also very shy and is not very comfortable around a lot of people. Caeson loves to play sports. He will play catched with a baseball or kick a soccer ball or dribble a basketball, with anyone that will play with him. Caeson will also sit down at the piano and play it. The only song he knows is "Hot Cross Buns". He also likes to play the trumpet. Caeson started Transitional Kindergarten this year. He seems to really like school. He goes to school everyday for four hours. He even gets to ride a bus.

Oryx Hunt

This last weekend, August 23, Rich went Oryx hunting on the White Sands Missle Range in New Mexico. After a day and a half of hunting Rich shot an oryx. The oryx are an interesting looking animal. They have been imported to New Mexico from Africa. Rich said this was the hardest hunt he has ever been on. Rich shot the second largest oryx out of all the ones that were shot during this hunt. The largest oryx that was shot was a world record. Here is a picture of the Oryx head that he shot.

Our First Post

This is my first post to our blog. I am just checking it out. I will have more to come. Setting this blog up was on my "to do" list this summer. It is the last thing on my list that I needed to get done. It is good thing I got it done now, because school starts next week. I wanted to set this blog up mostly for a journal. This picture is of my family. I am Verlynne. Rich is my husband. We have Five boys (a handful of them). Ryan is 14. Tevin is 11. Parker is 7. Caeson is 5. and Maddux is 3. We live in Central, Arizona. We moved here about five years ago.

Maddux's Birthday

Maddux's Birthday was July 21, 2008. We were in Greer, Arizona that day. The birthday party was at Aunt Leta and Uncle Bryce's cabin. Maddux wanted a chocolate cake with white frosting. He also wanted red sprinkles. Maddux's Mom and Dad and brothers came to the party. Also, Grandma Perry, Aunt Leta, Uncle Bryce, Aunt Leola, & Jeannie (Aunt Leta's sister). When we sang happy birthday to Maddux, he slowly slid under the table. He got really embarrassed. It surprised us because he is so out-going. Maddux wanted a backpack for his birthday. He got one that had Diego on it. He also got a book, a ball, a fishing pole, and a few other things. Maddux is very independent. He does everything by himself. He doesn't ask for help very often. He likes to talk and will talk to anyone. He has the cutes smile. Which we say is good, because it gets him out of trouble a lot.
